- Learn and practice witness interview techniques
- Create electronic composites of suspects
Faces 4.0 Lab Activity Guide
- Become familiar with interviewing techniques used by investigators
- Exercise observational and memory skills
- Utilize verbal skills to describe a suspect’s physical appearance
- Utilize FACES software technology to render a representative facial composite
Observation Exercise
The Observation Exercise allows you to develop your observation skills. A composite picture generated by FACES is displayed for a few seconds. During this time, you should examine the picture closely and try to remember as many of the facial characteristics as possible in order to reproduce them afterwards. More information in the FACES 4.0 User's Guide.
Testing Materials
EducationMax access to a selection of tests to be used in the classroom and for students to become FACES 4.0 Certified Police Sketch Artist. The test provided are multiple choice, true and false and open ended. Teaches will need to contact EducationMax to request the tests. A sample is provided in the Testing Materials section.
